Tailings Dam Capping

Full-scale Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) capping using high-capacity earthmoving equipment and GPS-controlled grading systems.

We utilised our Trimble GPS-equipped fleet to meticulously place capping material across the 28.13-hectare footprint. By linking civil engineering designs direct to our machines, operators functioned with decimeter accuracy, eliminating the need for ground pegs and surveyor delays.

Managing a large-scale tailings facility requiring high precision capping to ensure environmental compliance and structural integrity, all while working over sensitive material and around active operational infrastructure.

The project was delivered on time and within budget. We achieved zero environmental incidents, fully contained the tailings footprint, and exceeded all client quality assurance specifications for lift height and compaction.
